Harry Kahne (c.1895-1955), The Incomparable Mentalist, was known for being able to write upside down and backwards while reciting poetry, among other activities all at the same time.

Biography

One of the highest paid mental wizards of his day, he got as high as $1,000 a week at the two-aday Palace Theatre.[1] He also performed in Australia and Great Britain. In the 1950s, he appeared with the Jack Benny show at the London Palladium. [2]

Kahne was compared to Royal V. Heath[3]

Ricky Jay, who described Kahne in his Learned Pigs and Fireproof Women book, paid homage to him in his show performing four distinct mental acts simultaneously with two volunteers on stage. [4] [5] [6]
