Hazel Margaret Payne (1913-2008) served as president of Magigals in 1952.
Biography
Payne wanted to be a Latin teacher but found that destiny had a place for her as a welfare worker. After 10 years of public work she met Stan Payne.
Stan and her gave many shows for the Armed Forces, Clubs, Lodges before Stan's interests turned more to the manufacturing of magic equipment.
She helped organize and be a charter member of Portland Magigals No. 11. which she served as their vice president and twice their president.
She one the "Magigal Jewel Chest" (twice) and the "Talbot Trophy" at PCAM conventions.[1]
