Independent Magical Performers Society (IMPS) was a magical society for teens in New York by Arnold Belais and Paul Morris on March 24, 1962.[1]
It was helped out my many members of the SAM Parent Assembly with hopes that the IMPS would start up everywhere there was a SAM assembly. Over the years, many members graduated from IMPS to the SAM.
It was eventually replace by the Society of Young Magicians.
