International Mentalists Association (IMA) was formed around 1929 to support entertainers that used mentalism in their shows.

Members included Robert Nelson, Doc Irving, Stewart James, W. G. Magnuson.

Their house organ was first called The Seer (2 issues) and then Mystic (1 issue ), both published during 1929 and edited by Magnuson.

The organization does not seem to have lasted more then a few years.[1]

The organization was very active when magician, most notably Julien Proskauer, when on a "war" against mentalist who in his opinion were harming the general public. [2]
