J. A. J. Palmer (?-1951), known as Jappe, was a past president of the Society of Irish Magicians (1942 – 1943).

Biography

Palmer had been an athlete, climber, fisherman, craftsman and civil servant. He helped to establish magic as an art.[1]

He was one of Dublin's most popular ever children's entertainer.

His lectures usually including a display of paraphernalia made by himself.[2]
