It was transcribed from original four small pocket size handwritten books that, with revisions by Dai Vernon, of Dr. Daley's describing tricks of Dai Vernon, Horowitz, Arthur Findley, Leipzig, Paul Rosini, Al Baker, John Scarne, Malini, Annemann and others.

Portions of the notebooks circulated though the underground for years and was published by Karl Fulves's Gutenberg Press in hard and softback.
