JASON LATIMER (born March 7th, 1981) [1] (also known simply as LATIMER) is an American illusionist with an extensive resume in multiple fields of science. Jason Latimer’s fusion of modern day technology with age-old magic tricks has made him one of the world’s most innovative magicians.[2] His private research and designs have led to live twenty-first century effects such as bending light, shaping water, the clear cups and balls, fountain walks, forming smoke, and Bullet Time levitations on stage.[3] [2] [4] Jason Latimer is recognized as "one of magic's most gifted creators" [5] by Genii, The Conjurors' Magazine as well as by the scientific community as possessing a "grasp of visual science beyond our comprehension." [6]


Jason Latimer's designs and performances have led to seventeen consecutive championship wins and awards worldwide.[4][2] Latimer is the third American in history to ever be given magic's highest honor of being titled "The Grand Prix 'Best Overall' World Champion of Magic"[7] by International Federation of Magic Societies (FISM)[8] joining the names of magic icons Lance Burton and Johnny Ace Palmer. Jason also possesses multiple "World Champion of Magic" titles and awards in multiple categories of close up magic and in the invention & design by FISM.[8][4] [7]


In 2012, Latimer won over the UK audience of BBC One's television series “The Magicians (TV series)." Each week Latimer competed against the British magic duo Barry and Stuart and British comedy magician Pete Firman in all categories of magic. The winner of each episode was determined by the British public vote. The American born Latimer showcased his unique style of magic and the viewer’s response was overwhelming. Over the course of six specials, Jason was named the season’s winner and series champion by the British public.[9]


With an education that spans Mathematics, Economics, and Applied Physics with university research in multiple fields of Psychology of perception and attention,[3] [2] Latimer actively engages scientists and engineers around the world to unite into one field of "breaking down the impossible."[10] Latimer’s fascination with the unknown has brought wonder to the twenty-first century while his imagination has inspired millions around the world.[11]
