Buffaloe grew up in Memphis, Tennessee, and graduated from Memphis Technical High School. He worked his way through college performing magic.
In 1949, he met J. B. Bobo. They became friends and Buffaloe submitted items for Modern Coin Magic.
Buffaloe has a bachelor of music degree from Oklahoma Baptist University in Shawnee, Oklahoma, and a master of sacred music degree from The School of Sacred Music. Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville. Kentucky. He has worked as the Choral Director, music composer and piano tuner-technician.
