John H. Davison (1868-1954) served as president of the International Brotherhood of Magicians (1937-1938).

Biography

His magic interest began when he was 11 years old after witnessing a show by a "gift" magician.

Davison played every form of show business except carnival. At one time he was active in business in New England and made his home in Ashaway, Rhode Island.

As IBM number was 900, "Uncle" John Davison wrote about of his career in the March 1933 issue of The Linking Ring. His picture was on the cover of the magazine in September the same year. Dr. Kenneth Sheelor, then editor, had an article about him in the March 1937 issue.[1]
