John T. Greenwood played in Philadelphia in 1855 and traveled throughout the South for ten years. Then for fifty years he toured the North and West as a magician and ventriloquist.
Greenwood was with John Wyman in Philadelphia and received a collection of magical apparatus and marionette figures from Wyman on his death.
He retired to Beloit, Wisconsin and owned about twenty cottages which he rented out.[1]
