Ladson Butler (1877 - 1951), an amateur magician and painter, was the Educational Manager for Yawman and Erbe in Rochester, New York.

Biography

Butler lived for many years in the city of Buffalo, where he regularly wrote a column for The Sphinx giving news of events in magic of upper New York State.

His later years, he made New York City his home. He was a past president of the S.A.M. Parent Assembly and also one of the members of the Board of Directors of The Sphinx.

First publisher of the Han Ping Chien Move in 1917 and created the "Whispering Queen" (circa 1921). See Hugard's Magic Monthly, Vol. 9, No. 12, May 1952, page 929.

Butler died in New York City.
