Louis Nikola (1878 - 1936), born Walter J. Obree Smith in England, was a magician and shadowist.

He got his stage name from Guy Boothby's Dr Nikola books.
He published some magic in Volume XXI of The Boy's Own Paper in 1898-99 with a series titled The "B.O.P." Magician', the first of a number of magical contributions to that journal. However, by the time his second series of 'The "B.O.P." Magician' commenced later in 1899 his name had become Louis Nikola and it remained thus ever after. [1]
