Louis Vizard (1880-1950) was a magician and the owner of the Louis Vizard Cigar Company in downtown St. Louis.


Biography

While a youngster in New York, he played leads in various plays. Vizard became interested in magic around 1926. He and his wife were prominent entertainers around the Saint Louis area for many years.

For many years, he was president of the Louis Vizard Cigar Company, a wholesale dealer in high grade cigars.

They were both very active supporters of magic in St. Louis. Vizard succeeding Andrew Buel as President of IBM Ring One in St. Louis, Missouri in 1937. [1] His wife, Marie, was a member of the Saint Louis Magigals.[2] By the 1940s, he started specializing in mental effects. He held IBM No. No. 4237[3][4][5]
