The Magic Dealers Association was formed in 1946 and incorporated in Maryland in 1947 offering networking and services for magic supply retailers.[1]
The first meeting of the association was held on March 23, 1947 and the officers elected were Phil Thomas, President, Joe Karson, Vice President, Bill Holden, Treasurer and Frances Ireland, Secretary.[2]
Its past presidents have included Gene Gordon, Merv Taylor, Russ Walsh, Paul Fried, Bob Little and Chuck Kirchner.
They have a trade show, held every other year, at varies cities within the United States.
For a time, their official organ was the Bat, published by Lloyd Jones.
