Magic Towne House run by Dick Brooks and Dorothy Deitrich in New York City was a Magic Shop, Children's Theater and Magic Cabaret show on the weekends in the 1970s and early 80s. They also published Hocus Pocus magazine for a number of years.

Magicians who performed at the Magic Towne House include Harry Blackstone, Jr., Jeff McBride, David Regal, Slydini, Wesley James, Frank Garcia, Johnny Ace Palmer, Daryl, Meir Yedid and Eric DeCamps.

Each year, they held the Official Houdini Halloween seances.

In the 1980s, Imam, a Magic Towne House alumnus, opened Mostly Magic in Greenwich Village.

Dick Brooks and Dorothy Dietrich currently operate the Houdini Museum in Scranton, Pennsylvania.
