Modern Magi was a monthly mimeographed Magic Periodical from R.C. Buff out of Knoxville, Tennessee that ran from August 1942 until July 1956.
A fire and then subsequent illnesses forced the discontinuation.
Buff eventually joined with John Bloor to create a bimonthly remake called New Modern Magi in the 1980s illustrated by Joseph K. Schmidt.
