Monarque was a FISM winning sleight-of-hand expert and ventriloquist.[1]

He also performed his paper-magic act as "Paperman" and a pickpocket act as "Jean Lupin".

He was a member of Association Syndicale des Artistes Prestidigitateurs. [2]
