Prof. Morris Loewy (1857-1933), also spelled Lowey, was an expert in cards and fried of Clinton Burgess who immigrated to the United States in 1889.

Biography

He was the creator of the "Loewy Palm" which was published in Greater Magic as "THE TOP CARD WITH LEFT HAND ONLY".

He was a member of the National Conjurors Association and the IBM ( member No. 921.) Prof. Loewy attended the IBM convention in 1927.

The "professor" title was probably self-bestowed and he advertised himself as an "expert in card performances and theatrical entertainments".

Loewy also collected stamps and post cards.[1]

He died of heart failure in 1933.[2]
