National Association of Magical Societies
The initial membership consisted of twelve societies representing about one thousand magicians in all parts of the United Kingdom. The main purpose of the Association was to co-ordinate the activities of the various societies.[1]
This Association replace the Magic Circle's "Affiliation" which functioned from 1921 to 1944. The following societies were represented British Magical Society, Glasgow Society of Magicians, Order of the Magi, Northern Magical Society, Pentacle Club, Sheffield Circle of Magicians, West of England Magical Society, and the Magic Circle. It was reported in the June 7th, 1952 issue of Abra that the remaining assets of the Association were being liquidated with the funds to be distributed amongst the thirty-six member societies.
