Ned Frailey (1865-1953), a magician, ventriloquist, and owner of Penn Magic House in Lancaster, Pennsylvania in the 1920s, was considered the Dean of Pennsylvania Magicians when he was alive.[1]

Biography

Frailey traveled extensively at one time. He performed for children as "Prof. Schultz" with a German accent.[2]

Frailey was an inventor and producer of many original creations which were advertised in the magic magicians of his day.[3]

He served as president of the I.B.M. Red Rose Ring No. 51.[4]

He also operated a cigar store for a number of years.[5]

Frailey was the originator of the annual magicians' picnic held at Rocky Springs each year and attended the gatherings until 1949 when he was confined to his home because of an accident.
