The Neverchange Count is a false count with cards developed by Alex Elmsley that is similar to the Everchange Count in that it shows 4 cards as five while hiding one. However at the end, the middle card remains in place, ready for the count to be done again.

It is explained in The Collected Works of Alex Emlsley as part of the routine "Thoughts in Transit".

Jeff Busby (Epilogue Nov 1974) and Karl Fulves have both independently developed this count as well.
