New York Coin Magic Seminar was created by the "New York Coin Magic Seminar Group" consisting of David Roth, Dr. Michael Rubinstein, Mike Gallo, and Geoff Latta in 2004.

With a goal of helping magicians to improve their coin magic by teaching them new and innovative routines, moves, and handlings, the idea started at the COINvention in Las Vegas. David Roth was the guest of honor, and Rubinstein and Latta were also booked. They decided that it would be interesting to put together a seminar of their own, which was held in New York City with Mike Gallo.

After its success, a second one was held at Marc DeSouza's Magic Theatre in Philadelphia. Their third Seminar was in Las Vegas. Each were planned for six hour, but some ran as long as nine.

As part of the seminar, students also got DVDs. [1]
