Otis Manning (1911-1963) started out as an amateur magician in Toledo, Ohio and went on to become a professional nightclub magician in the 1950s.
Biography
He wrote articles for the The Gen, Jinx and Phoenix publishing AND marketing such routines as Aces of Eight, The OM Billet Switching Box, Crystal Clear, and Another Dictionary Effect. Ted Annemann included many of his effects in his books.
During World War II, he toured Africa, Italy and Corsica, giving his shows at USO's.[1]
He also wrote a series of monologues for entertainers: The Nudist Camp Routine, and The Ride of Paul Revere.[2]
