Otis Manning started out as an amateur magician in Toledo, Ohio and went on to become a professional nightclub magician in the 1950s.
He wrote articles for the The Gen, Jinx and Phoenix publishing AND marketing such routines as Aces of Eight, The OM Billet Changing Box, Crystal Clear, and Another Dictionary Effect. Ted Annemann included many of his effects in his books.
He also wrote a series of monologues for entertainers: The Nudist Camp Routine, and The Ride of Paul Revere.
