Richard "Dick" Wehmeyer, under the title of "The Wizard of Ohms" for the Union Electric Company of Missouri, did a traveling show emphasizing "safety with electricity" while entertaining with magic. He had a regular circuit of schools in Missouri, Illinois and Iowa, visiting each school every four years in the 1940s and 50s.[1]

The show was patterned after General Electric's "House of Magic" and General Motors' "Parade of Progress".[2]

He was president of IBM Ring 1 in St. Louis in 1944.

The MUM reported in 1961 that Wehmeyer was reinstated as a SAM member in Assembly No. 8.

Wehmeyer placed an ad in the September 1961 issue of Linking Ring selling his equipment "because of retirement".
