Snag Werris was an amateur magician and comedy writer for Ed Wynn, Jackie Gleason, Red Skelton, and the TV show "All In The Family."[1]

He began as a comedian in burlesque and later was a mentor to Milt Larsen as a comedy writer out of high school.[2] He served on the Magic Castle Board of Directors and was also a friend of Dai Vernon who called him 'Gans' (Snag backwards).[3]

Werris was the magic technical director of Jerry Lewis' show "Geisha Boy". [4][5]
