Society of The Sphinx was the second Magic Organizations formed in the United States founded by Dr. Henry R. Evans on January 1, 1902.

It was formed for the "suppression of that magical nuisance who exposes tricks on the stage, thereby killing the mystical goose that lays the golden eggs, and ruining the art of magic in the estimation of the public. Each member of this Society pledges himself not to expose even the simplest trick or illusion on the public stage; and use all his influence with the theatre and music hall managers to prevent performers from doing the same, whether the performer be a legitimate magician or a juggler burlesquing the art of legerdemain."

It lasted only a few months and disappeared from the magic scene with the founding of the Society of American Magicians.

A similar if not the same organization was announced in the May, 1902 issue of the Sphinx as the "Order of the Sphinx".
