Bill Wisch (b.1947) is a professional, sleight of hand artist, magician, lecturer, teacher, inventor and manufacturer
Biography
His earliest magical recollection was seeing a magician perform at Macy's at age eight and his grandmother bought him his first trick, the Nickles to Dimes. In 1966 he was awarded a Hall of Fame Scholarship to Berklee School of Music in Boston by Downbeat magazine and the following year he joined the Navy where for four years he toured with the Navy Band.
In 1973, he watched Slydini perform for a Society of American Magicians Banquet. Soon he was taking lessons from him which he continued for four years.
Up to the year 1975, he lectured to more than 100 magic clubs. Then in 1977 he started Wisch-Craft, "Magic With the Business Spirit."[1]
Wisch has performed in all three theaters (the Close-Up Gallery, the Parlour of Prestidigitation, and the Palace of Mystery) and lectured four times at the Magic Castle. He has been a featured performer at the Magic Towne House in New York City (1981) where he received the "Star of Magic Award" for Close-Up Magic and at Tannen's Jubilee (1987,1992). He performed at the 1990 Society of American Magicians National Convention and the 1991 International Brotherhood of Magicians National Convention. In 1997 he was a featured close-up performer and lecturer at NEMCON.[2]
