The St. Louis Magical Heritage Award, sponsored by S.A.M. Assembly No. 8 and I.B.M. Ring One, was created in 1994 to recognize St. Louis magicians who have, through their outstanding contribution to the magical arts, brought significant recognition to St. Louis and its magic community.
The selection process is administered by a committee of five senior St. Louis magicians. The original members of this committee were: Robert Cole, Harley Day, Roger Linden, Harry Monti, and David Snetsinger.[1]
The first awards were presented to one living recipient and eleven posthumously at a banquet held on January 21, 1995.
