Stuart Cumberland (1857-1922), born Charles Garner, astonished Europe with his performances in mindreading, drawing fame with miracles like finding hidden objects through supposed psychic power.

The art of "Contact Mind Reading" was known for a time as Cumberlandism.

He also published a souvenir newspaper, Cumberland News.
