The Trick That Cannot Be Explained is a card effect devised by Dai Vernon and published in Dai Vernon's More Inner Secrets of Card Magic by Lewis Ganson (1960). Trying to explain how the trick is very hard to do since the magician makes it up while using lots of Equivoque and is different each time it is performed.

Variations

Tangled Web by Eric Mead (2006) has a chapter on his approach it performing it.
