Tilt (Book)

Tilt! is a manuscript written by Edward Marlo in 1962 exploring the use of the Depth Illusion technique created by Dai Vernon. The begrudging credit to Vernon in the preface of this booklet is the only time Marlo ever mentioned Vernon's name in connection with the technique. Marlo renamed the technique "Tilt" and published many applications of it after that in a canny effort to associate it entirely with him (1). Even to this day, many magicians mistakenly refer to the move as "Marlo's Tilt" rather than "Vernon's Depth Illusion."

(1) It's only ONE point of view ! Marlo was not responsible for the lack of magic cultivation.
