V. C. Prollex (1889-1938) was a semi-professional magician that performed as "Domino".

Biography

Able to speak English, French, and German, he appeared at leading London hotels and cinemas

During the war, he gave over fifty shows to troops, often under shell-fire. He once performed in an improvised church before an audience of 3,000 .

In 1932 produced his Rainbow illusion gained for him the award of A.I.M.C. from the Magic Circle.[1]

In his house he had a miniature theater built. There was seating accommodation for thirty people with red plush tip-up seats, hidden lighting, full stage and cinema projection room.[2]

He was granted the Freedom of the City of London in 1935.[3]
