W. G. Magnuson (1904-1988) was a professional pseudo-psychic who performed as "Del-Ardo".
Biography
As a "human pincushion", he worked at Ripley's Believe It Or Not Odditonum Show, doing up to 22 performances a day. He received an extra dollar for each spectator who fainted at the sight—his arms, legs, neck, and face being punctured by needles, pins, and police badges.
He edited the house organs of the International Mentalists Association, The Seer (2 issues) and Mystic (1 issue), both published in 1929.
In MUM for March, 1982, an advertisement by J. D. Richardson included a bonus item called "DEL-ARDO SPEAKS" under which it stated:

Now, at age 78, Dr. Magnuson reveals in his own words the presentation, methods, and inside secrets of his famous act, just as he performed it over 50 years ago."
Magnuson was co-organizer of Rookford Illinois's Largest Spiritualistic Church, giving readings in the Rockford area.[1]
