Wayne Raeke was a barber, amateur magician, author, lecturer, teacher, and dealer.

He was a member of the Yogi Magic Club in Baltimore, Maryland in the 1960s. In 1970 he was the manager of The Jokers Wild Magic Shop in Maryland.

After closing up shop in 1976, he moved to Houston, Texas and started the youth magic group "Jokers Wild Junior Club". He soon was diagnosed with diabetes and confined to a wheel chair. He was a member of Ring 39 in Houston and was once chosen Houston's "Handicapped Person of the Year". He was a member of the I.B.M., Order of Merlin (for 25 years of service).[1]
