William Marks performed magic until about 20 years of age and then took it up again as a hobby around 1900 living in Waterbury, Connecticut.


He first started in magic by seeing Fakir of Ava around 1865.

He was member number 341 of the S. A. M. and a MUM report within the Sphinx for August 1937 states that a William B. Marks of Springfield, Massachusetts celebrated a birthday on September 8.
