Xenephon

Xenephon was a popular conjurer in Ancient Athens.

One of his pupils was Cratisthenes, who could "make fire spout up of its own accord".[1]

There was alcove dedicated to him in the original Society of American Magicians Hall of Fame and Magic Museum sponsored by John Henry Grossman, M.D., Associate Chairman of the Hall of Fame Committee.
