Richard's Almanac was a newsletter written and published by Richard Kaufman. It ran for 36 issues, plus 4 extra issues free for subscribers.
In 1992, the entire run of newsletters was compiled and republished as The Collected Almanac

Format
Generally, the newsletter included 4-6 tricks by notable magicians, and a news/opinion section entitled "Bull".
The newsletter ran monthly for the first two years, 12 issues and a Winter and a Summer Extra each year. In it's third year the newsletter became a quarterly, and three of the issues were late. The final issue, intended for Winter 1985, was published in February 1987.

Content
The newsletter centered around close-up magic, and as could be expected, most of the items are card or coin tricks. There were a large variety of contributors, including but not limited to Larry Jennings, Jay Sankey, Derek Dingle, Mike Gallo, Bro. John Hamman, J.K Hartman and Geoff Latta.

Themed Issues
There were several themed issues during the newsletter's run, as follows:
Volume One:
*The Winter Extra 1982-83 A Session with Krenzel, Dingle and Kaufman
*January/February 1983 A Jay Sankey Issue
*April 1983 A John Carney Issue
*May 1983 A California Issue
*June 1983 A Geoffrey Latta Issue
*The Summer Extra 1983 A Jon Racherbaumer Issue
*August 1983 A Jay Sankey Issue
Volume Two:
*October 1983 A Brother John Hamman Issue
*December 1983 A Michael Skinner Issue
*January/February 1984 A Larry Jennings Issue
*April 1984 Max Maven Presents: A Phil Goldstein Issue
*June 1984 A Michael Gallo Issue
*The Summer Extra 1984 A Jon Racherbaumer Issue
*July/August 1984 A California Issue

Inserts
There were a few free items given to subscribers only, including two gimmicked cards for The Ken Beale Display in the December 1983 issue, a sheet of stickers for a Two-Bit Wildcard in March 1984, a card from a Tom Mullica Tom-Foolery deck of cards with the Autumn Quarterly of Volume 3, and a set of gimmicked cards for Card Factory in the Winter Quarterly of Volume 3.
Snowstorminchinahttps://geniimagazine.com/wiki/index.php?title=Five_Times_Five&diff=3039Five Times Five2008-03-31T15:27:23Z
Snowstorminchina:

Five Times Five was an ill-fated series of books published by Kaufman and Company.

The series was designed to showcase magic from around the world. Five magicians from each country would each contribute five tricks to a book.

The series ended after only two volumes were published, due to poor sales and conflict between contributors (Kaufman has stated that he couldn't find five French magicians who would allow their creations to be published with each other in the same book).

A recent explosion of interest in Japanese magic has resulted in the reprint of Five Times Five: Japan, and an increased interest in the publication of more books in the series.

Homer Liwag is a magician and designer known for his coin magic and underground status. He is currently Creative Design manager for David Copperfield.

Publications
Until recently, Liwag has kept himself out of the magic limelight, and although he worked at Illusions magic bar in Indiana for sometime, his published work has been relatively small.

He is best known for his work with Chris Kenner, and designed and edited his best-selling book, Totally Out of Control, as well as helping him with his short-lived publication, the Magic Man Examiner. Kenner has joked that he created the Homer Liwag character himself, so he wouldn't look bad taking the credit for writing, designing and illustrating his own books. Some have taken this statement to be fact, leading to the rumors that Liwag didn't exist.

Most of the work Liwag has published is in hard to find publications such as Magic Man Examiner and The Minotaur.

CoinOne
Liwag recently released his first DVD, CoinOne. The DVD contains his coins across routine (previously published as Four Coins and a Filipino), and another bonus routine of Chris Kenners. The DVD is highly acclaimed for the quality of the routine, as well as the teaching of the routine and the editing.

CoinTwo
Following the success of CoinOne, Coin Two has been announced. The DVD will contain two routines, and a trailer has been posted on Liwags website. The details of the routines have yet to be disclosed.
