He is also researching the history of the Midwest Magic Jubilee convention now shared between the St. Louis IBM and SAM clubs.

Don Rataj is a magician and collector.

Don is a close up card magician that started at age 10 when he got into the dealer room at the 1964 St. Louis magic convention at the Chase Park Plaza.

He performed close up bar magic while behind the bar during college years in Kansas and later on with his clients of his St. Louis Architectural firm.
