Meetings were held on the first Sunday of the month at his home in Hamilton Drive and members were under an obligation to perform a trick on each occasion. Membership was by invitation only. Its first membership was recorded in Goldston's The Magician's Monthly for March 1921.
The Society's medallion was a clock dial with the letters MYSTIC TWELVE replacing the "numerals".
Members included De Vega and later John Ramsay.
