Roy Roth (1929-2013), a master bookbinder and successful performer, was known in magic as the owner of R.A.R. Magic which he ran with his wife Irene (d.2006).
Using his talents as a bookbinder Roy stared making wallets for Harry Stanley. The first was the Wonder Wallet followed by the LePaul Wallet and the Balducci wallet. Roy was also the manufacturer of the Bendix Bombshell. As a bookbinder one of his works was the small white Bible carried by Queen Elizabeth II at her wedding.
Also performed a comedy magic act as "Leeroy" in which a microphone usually exploded, tables collapsed and continued with a comedy routine with the Thumb Tie and Multiplying Bottles.[1]
He eventually specialized in other leather goods.[2][3]
