Jonathan Harrington (1811-1881), born in Boston, was a ventriloquist and magician who performed mostly around New England from 1826 until his death. He did do a tour through the American South and West.
Biography
In his later years, he became affectionately known as "Old Harrington."
Harrington's final performance was at York, Maine, in April, 1881, where he contracted a cold which developed into pneumonia that caused his death. He died at his home in North Chelsea (now Revere), Massachusetts.
