Gershon Legman (November 2, 1917 – February 23, 1999) was a folklorist, writer-editor and amateur magician.

Biography

In the 1940s he wrote magic booklets under the name "John Thursday". He became an expert on origami. In Robert Harbin's book, "Paper Magic", a letter from Gershon Legman was quoted which spread the news of Japanese paper-folding throughout the English-speaking world.[1]
