1888 - A pioneer of mentalism on the radio Mel-Roy (1888-1966) "The Mental Mystic" was born Wilbert Willis Holley.
1957 - The professional circus illusionist Taft (1883-1957) dies
1960 - The IBM Ring 19 gives a tribute to Bruno Warnecke (c.1868-1961), who at the age of 92, also performs at it.
1972 - The "The Debonaire Deceptionist" G. Ray Terrell (c.1895-1972) dies in Williamstown, Massachusetts.
1984 - Comedy magician, actor and screenplay writer Howard Brooks (1909-1984) dies.
1988 - Considered one of the best card magicians of his time, Bill McCaffrey (1899-1988) dies just one day before his 89th birthday.
