Biography
Ralph W. Hull was a performer at Coney Island as the Chautauqua & Lyceum headliner.
He was also involved in his family business, Hull Pottery manufacturing company, in Ohio.
He is best know for the mechanical decks he developed using his Rough and Smooth principle. John Northern Hilliard's Greater Magic has a chapter devoted to Hull, "The Tuned Deck".
