Osterlind was born in Bridgeport, Conn., and lived there until he was nine years old, when his family moved to Ansonia, Conn.  He later lived in Danbury, Conn., while he worked on a music major at Western Connecticut State College.  He and his wife, Lisa, live in Kentucky now.
