Walter C. Griffiths, a amateur magician, was a member of the Vancouver Magic Circle and of the IBM Sick and Convalescent Committee.
He had served overseas with the 72nd Seaforth Highlanders and was a member of the Musician's Union.
During his many years as Chief Fire Prevention Officer for the British Columbia Electric Company, he toured the Canadian Province of British Columbia lecturing on Fire Prevention. During these lectures he would used magical effects illustrate his points and to hold the attention of his audience.
