DeLarno (1935-2006) was the stage name of Burns Scandrett who also operated the DeLarno's Magic Shop on Chancery Lane in Christchurch, New Zealand from 1956 to 1996.
Biography
Scandrett learned magic around the age of seven. He performed magic in Britain, United States, Australia, and Japan as well as on cruise ships. He also appeared on over 200 television shows, including his own in New Zealand.
His magic shop in Christchurch was one of largest magic dealerships in South Pacific, with a branch owned by Alf Hayes in Sydney, Australia
Honors and awards
- Made Magic Circle rank of MIMC in 1989, the first magician in New Zealand to do so.
- Grand Master of Magic Award, 2002.
