Gary Brown has written more than two dozen articles about magicians, spiritualists, gamblers and carnival performers for popular and magicians trade magazines including American Heritage, Invention & Technology, Emmy and Audacity.
Biography
His first book, The Coney Island Fakir, a biography of sideshow magician Al Flosso, appeared in 1997. Brown wrote "Henry Slade And His Slates: From Europe To The Fourth Dimension," which appeared in Gibecière 23, Winter 2017, Volume 12, No. 1. This historical work on the Fourth Dimension led to his selection as the Distinguished Lecturer for the 2018 IBM National Convention in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
