Robert (Bob) Bailey (?-1941), The Londonderry Wizard, served as President of the Oakland Magic Circle and as secretary of the P.C.A.M.. As a semi-professional magician, he performed at clubs, lodges, schools, and social gatherings.
Biography
Bailey learned his magic when a boy and specialized in sleight of hand and small effects. He fought against "exposing" and voiced his opinion through letter writing to combat it. A long time member of the IBM, he was a contributor to the Linking Ring. [1]
Bailey, a veteran of World War I, died from a heart attack the same day fellow amateur of the Northwest,Vincent Lynch was killed by a hit and run driver.[2]
